this scanner for automobiles is loaded with features and newly updated out of the box! It offers an all systems diagnosis for your vehicle. The screen is back lit very nicely and the display is clear and sharp. Very easy to read the information and that's bieng displayed to you. The touch screen is very intuitive and responsive. Powered by Android too so that's always a plus. This scan tool is also equipped with around 30 maintenance services which make it so much easier in determining what your vehicle needs in terms of repair. This device will also aid you in resetting some of the dashboard lights once necessary repairs have been made. I really like that this scanner can also pick up on the other systems of a car that most scanners can't. Drive train, chassis, fuel systems, just to name a few. This was purchased for use in my garage and has gotten passed around quite a bit between family members with older cars and they all want one of thier own now. Everyone is impressed with how well this works, the ease of use and most importantly the accuracy!The MUCAR CS6 is a well-made and versatile OBD2 Scanner. It comes in an attractive retail box, sealed with all the components securely packaged. The package includes a scanner, OBD 2 cable, USB-C cable, and a user manual. This is a prosumer grade unit made to last and has complete diagnostic scans. I love the horizontal 5" colour touchscreen screen, which provides more space for easier legibility.All the menus are intuitive and quick to navigate. I also like the long cable, making it easy to work with. With this reader, there is a comprehensive range of diagnostic scans. I am easily able to read and erase codes, check I/M O2 sensors and EVAP, do live data, and read essential vehicle information like VIN. All of these functions are easy to find, so using them on the screen is very intuitive. Overall, it's an easy-to-use, accurate and versatile scanner. Full marks from me!The packaging is very slick, and comes with all the necessary cables.To function it has to be plugged in, either to the car with the OBD cable or to a computer with the supplied USB cable.Once I connected it to my car (a late-model RAV4) its automatic VIN identifier correctly recognized the vehicle as a RAV4.I have the hybrid version of the RAV4 but, so far as I could tell, it did not recognize the model variant type. Nor did it offer any diagnostics specific to the electrical drive system.The systems it can check are very comprehensive, however, and I like that it can record data while the car is being driven, and save it for viewing later on a computer.I was disappointed to see that some sort of an additional subscription package is offered for sale. I think this is related to clearing codes, however. It doesn't seem to hinder the use of the device for common testing purposes.The device is pretty rugged and I would expect it to survive a drop on the shop floor. The touch screen was easy to use, and bright enough to use out on the street.I did not find the menus intuitive, but there is a quick start guide included and I muddled my way along well enough.I wish, however, that they had included some sort of automated complete diagnostics test. One or two presses and let it run through all the systems.Overall, this is a rugged and comprehensive diagnostics tool which works as advertised. The unit is accurate to the listing photographs and the details provided. It is decently sturdy, but lighter weight then expected which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just an observation.My husband was pretty happy with the over all experience of the unit. He found it easy to locate the port in our car and hook up the scanner and begin the process.I wasn't home when my husband tested this out so I never had a chance to take photographs of it in use, but once he uses it again I will certainly update it with some in use photographs.My husband said that the screen was easy to read and it responded well. You can use the scanner with our without wifi. My husband used this in our driveway so was able to hook up to the wifi for his experience.We have had an engine light on since we purchased our car a year ago but we know why it is on and it isn't something that really needed to be fixed so we were curious as to weather or not the scanner would pick up the correct code, and it did. No issues.At the time of this review this scanner is well priced at $299.95 and the seller has also added a $30 off coupon that can be used right now. This is a fantastic price point and exactly what I would expect for a product like this.We are pleased with the product and glad that we can check out and diagnose problems with our car before having to head to a garage.Recommended.This on board diagnostic scanner is exactly what we needed.I ordered this for my father who has been fixing cars all of his life. This OBD scanner replaced a cheaper version that he had, he can’t stop raving about this one.His favorite feature is that the there is a internal library for the OBD codes.
