This is a new drag race style oil pan for small block Ford V8s. Fits '65-'87 260, 289, and 302 engines (passenger car applications). Front sump pan with 7 quart pan capacity. No dipstick provision, must use dipstick in timing cover. This pan is 9" deep with a 12.5" wide X 10" long sump. Has built in baffle to control oil flow from front to back. Steel pan with a black painted finish. Uses the A9738 pickup tube.

I started looking for a rear sump oil pan for a SBF with a shallower front section than stock. After searching thru the many listings ( many clearly front sump ) I stop my search. Later in a email Amazon offer the pan that I thought was correct. Bought it tried to make it fit ,cut the baffle ,contacted the seller explained my problem ,Bought a new oil pump pick up and shaft.Pump was same as stock. NO WHERE was it made clear that these products were for a FRPNT SUMP PAN. 200 dollars down the drain.
