I love these knobs SO much. I was hesitant to buy them, thinking they would be too much in our kitchen. I was SO wrong. The oil-rubbed bronze metal allows it to be even more muted at night as far as the intensity of the orange, but during the day - these babies shine a perfect shade of burnt orange and I am so happy I took the leap to buy these as I struggle if I don't see the design pieces in real life application. So I'm sharing our "in-process kitchen" rehab (so sorry for the mess and incompletion, but I hope it helps my "visual" birds see it in action in a white kitchen). Mixed in with simple oil-rubbed bronze pulls - it's a homerun (not pictured, but I'll try to add later). I was worried it not be appropriate in a more traditional style kitchen. I am so happy I was wrong - they're perfect. Do it - especially if you love orange and want tiny flickers of the happiest color on the planet. If you have a lighter background wood - they'll probably appear more orange. If you have a darker wood backdrop - it will probaby seem darker, teetering on red-orange (but I sure don't get a previous reviews comment of "red" - not accurate unless it was a bad color batch of knobs).
