Yes, the chair is darker than some of the pictures, but it is NOT a dark mahogany color. It is probably a shade darker than the product photos. The chair was very easy to assemble, rocks smoothly, and is comfortable. I added a thicker cushion that I purchased at a home store, but the cushion that comes with the chair was thicker than I expected. The style of the chair is nice. It doesn’t look too “elderly” like it belongs in a nursing home. It’s not too modern either. I think it’s the perfect “in the middle” style that can go with most decor. I bought two, but they shipped a week apart and the estimated deliver date was changed after I purchased them. I did not appreciate that, but it is an Amazon issue and has nothing to do with the product itself. Amazon seems to have fixed the issue with false Prime delivery dates on the product page, so that’s good. Overall both chairs arrived within 2 weeks of ordering, were very easy to put together, and are comfortable!
