I watched some videos on how to do this before starting. I see people say it took them 12 hours to do but it took me three days of mostly truck work to get it done. I also replaced my valve covers and fuel injectors and some sensors. I took out the radiator but that wasn't necessary.This is a good kit for the 2008 Nissan Frontier with 4L V6. My engine has 200,000 miles on it and the chain had worn through the tension plastic so it was making a decent amount of noise. Nissan says you can continue to use the truck this way but the noise was bad and I think the little plastic bits were starting to clog up the oil intake.When I first started the truck after installing these chains and part I thought it was going to explode. It was really noisy and rattled like an antique. I just ignored it as I wasn't going to open things up to see if something was wrong.Several days later it was quiet as could be. I think the chains take a while to get adjusted tight or tensioned. Whatever the case, don't let the startup noise make you jump off a bridge.Might as well buy the oil seal for the timing cover and replace it at the same time.Hardest thing to do was get the harmonic balancer off. I had to buy a stronger air impact driver. My battery one didn't do it and none of the other tricks (kicking the starter, 4 foot breaker bar, etc) worked. A weighted 19mm socket and a 900 ft lb air impact did the trick in about 30 seconds.Oh, the factory manual timing marks are wrong on the 2008. I added correct placement photos for anyone doing this. These chains and gears have all the right timing marks.
