Absolutely try this product!The bottle is listed as in shower - meaning you can use as a hair conditioner additive. Which is fine, but there are many ways to add this product to your hair care regime.I have Native American hair, so nice, thick straight hair. I have also handed out extra bottles to my Auntie who is over 58+ yrs old with thick dry, and aged kinky hair, I have also shared with friends who are African American who's hair is extremely dry, and always in need of moisture both for scalp, and hair, so my review is based on our experiences.My Auntie was skeptical, and living 900+ miles away I bought the item here on Amazon, and sent it directly to her house (it actually cost less here than what I have been paying locally when not on sale) .** My Aunties hair because it is very dry Caucasian hair often falls victim to product build up; However she has not had that problem with this product- bonus!He first night she oiled her hair overnight, and washed in the a.m. She was so excited about the texture afterwards I received a call first thing in the morning! Apparently it worked better than the $200+ deep conditioning treatments at the salon (including no build up ?)Since then she has been adding a small amount (about 5% compared to conditioner) to her hair in the shower, and then she rubs a very small amount between her palms, and pats the ends of her hair after towel drying. She says her hair looks, feels, and styles like it did when she was in her 20's! *I should also not she dyes her hair on a very regular basis.**My African American friend, & her daughters (she has the traditional AA hair type, but her daughters are light skinned with slightly curly, but very thick prone to dryness' type AA hair)I was so excited with my results I gave them an extra bottle I had (buy 2 get 1 sale) They were so happy with the results they were gushing about the oil the next time we got together (a week, or 2 later). I am not for sure exactly how they used it, most of the conversation was about how much we all liked it, where to buy, and prices.**Personally I love this product!! With my hair (straight, thick, Caucasian type processed hair) I rarely use it in my conditioner (for dyed/processed hair). I use it like my hair stylist showed me when she first introduced me to it - I rub maybe a dime sized amount (I have shoulder length thick hair) between my hands, and then pat my wet just washed, and conditioned hair - starting with the ends first so I don't put it too heavily in one spot, and the to the underside (I flip my hair over). The less product on my hands the closer I get to the outside hairs, and I never do the roots around my face, nor crown.I found out for myself using any more, on dry hair, or in more than one step that it leaves parts, or all of my hair looking greasy. Which I then have to was again.****Most of us have been using this product for months (my Auntie for a few weeks) and we have not experienced any build up, or other negative effects. ?We with all of our hair types continue to praise Argan Oil, and this product specifically because we can control how much, when, and where we wish to use Argan Oil without switching to a new shampoo, condition ect, or getting too much/too little, and possible buildup from the product it is added to!Once you get acquainted with the oil, and have worked out the how to, how much, and when to add this product to meet your specific hair care needs - you won't waste your money on products that have added it in for you; I really hate having to figure out which product has enough, but not too much of an ingredient!!You will fall in love, and start hoarding extra bottles to share, or just take advantage of sales to fill your shelves!
