As another post from a mechanic stated, Melling outdid themselves. I'm also a mechanic and agree with him completely. I'll be using this design pump on every build I do from here forward. I won't bore you with the nerdy technical details and just finish up by saying that if you're replacing an old school pump like this then the Melling Sharktooth pump (silly name) should be your first choice.*There is an important footnote on this pump though. It is physically longer than a stock pump. Not a lot, but enough that you will need to carefully and accurately measure the pickup to pan clearance.*
