Looks perfect. We 'have a new 1" hex tile floor in white with black accents and border, and this appears as if it was made for our floor. WARNING, the top is nearly 1/4" thick, so it may need some adjustment or it will have an edge that could hurt your foot. We had our tile installer take it into account, and it's mounted flush, but think about that for your retrofit.This is a heavy, thick brass surface, plated in a Brushed Nickel finish. Appearance is everything, and this looks cool. Were spending nearly $30K remodeling a small bathroom for a total customized look and function. After spending $8K just on the tile, how could we put the $3.95 old register back in - NO WAY. Just holding it, it feels like quality and you can see when you look at it, it''s well made.Part of our problem is that the HVAC outlet in the bathroom is about 2' in front of the toilet, so everyone who sits there sees it. A piece of scuffed up Chinese scrap metal would never do.I could not be happier.
