I replaced the existing Honeywell Aquastat in about 15-20 minutes using the direct replacement guide. This worked fine with my Taco controller. Since then I have gone back and put the indirect water heater under the direct control of the aquastat which frees up a spot on my controller and I believe it allows the Aquasmart to keep the pump running for a few minutes after the call for heat is removed. This puts the remaining heat in the boiler to use.
