This thing was a bear to install. The instructions say that X materials are included, and Y materials are not included (including a 1/4 supply line and cutter not included). However, all kinds of additional things were included, that seemingly had no function or use, and certainly not referenced in the instructions. Some of the pictures show these things. One of the 1/4 compression quick connects has a little metal filter in it. It was dislodged, and the instructions said to push it back in - this was impossible. There is a large white filter not mentioned in the instructions, and all male T connector (no way to use that). The instructions suggested that the metal filter could clog, and that you might have to remove the quick connect and clean it - what a joke, that would be impossible. The plastic tube that connects to the center is unbeliveably hard to get on, and the two clamps - totally impossible to get them over the tube after its on the metal connector. Way too small. I went to the store and got a standard T connector, and a 1/4" female to female extension (about $12 for both), and that allowed me to get the job done, but this was a mess. Also, the 3/8 connector requires a reducer (supplied) if you are going to do the 1/4 copper tube version. You need 2 different size wrenches. The instructions say to only install in a "vented sink" - not mentioned anywhere I saw, nor even how to tell if you have this? The product itself - I had this exact unit many years ago - it failed after about 8 years, which seems to be the life expectancy, I hope this one does stay up. The actual faucet is well made - indeed, the product seems sturdy and well made. It delivers instantly hot water, and seems to work fine. You will want to put a good **interchangeable** filter before this unit. We will have RO going in, so no issue with my config. I dinged it a star for the ridiculous instructions and random parts that are not referenced anywhere.
