Used this to replace a "cheapie" door pull on a pocket door. The cheap hardware was virtually useless and hard to pull without tearing up fingers. Even though the Emtek pull is supposed to be mounted on only a full wooden (not hollow core) door, it can be successfully mounted if you are careful. I mounted it on MDF door (solid wood around the edges, particle board in the internal part) and it installed just fine. Very effective and helpful for someone who doesn't have a lot of finger strength to pull on a pocket door. We saw this model on This Old House and it really is a winner. One easy press on a button and the pull pops out and two fingers easily fit in the pull. That makes it much easier to get the door to move out of its pocket. The "handles" on each side of the door are recessed areas that are large enough and deep enough to get a good grip to move the door to its fully closed position or to move it back toward its pocket. Overly expensive but still highly recommended.
