First of all, this is tricky to install. I only say that to emphasize what a horrible product this was for me. In order to install in my 01 Forester, the engine had to be unbolted and jacked up several inches. The pan fit perfectly and I got everything back together, engine bolted back. However, the last thing i had to do is install the dipstick tube into the recieving tube on the oil pan. This is the trouble. The recieving tube on this pan was welded on several inches off. The dipstick tube would not line up! I was so furious after all that work! I was able to bend the tube to line up, however in doing that, I caused a hairline crack in the pan. So im back where I started, a leaky oil pan, only I put all that work into it and I'm out $50. I hope this saves someone the same headache. Maybe I got a dud. Just be aware, the dipstick tube may not line up and you may need to alter this product. If I hadn't been mad and taken the time to heat the pan with a tourch, It may not have cracked the pan. Anyway, if you buy this pan, I hope you make out better then I did.
