I spent a lot of time trying to find the "OEM" kit for the oil pump rebuild. My Rover had 106k miles on it and the oil pump gears did not fracture until removal, thus my front cover was still in good shape and didn't have markings or marring from oil pump gears that went out a long time ago.If your oil pump/pressure was having problems before and you pull it out of the front cover in several pieces, don't be surprised when this product doesn't work. It's meant to rebuild an oil pump that's currently working, preventatively, during an engine refresh/rebuild.I am glad that I replaced mine as the gears fractured AFTER removal, however, I can't iterate enough that if you purchase this kit to rebuild an oil pump into a front cover that has already taken a beating...you won't have oil pressure or a proper seal. That is when it's time to replace the front cover entirely.On the other hand, if you're doing any top engine work, this a great item to replace whilst in there and you'll be happy you did it (or had it it done, requires special tools) as a new front cover/oil pump is 10x the price.
