I like this mirror. Magnification is great. I guess I didn't reads carefully but when you turn it on, it switches between daylight and nighttime light. I always like the daytime light. Mine is hardwired to a switch so it always comes on daytime so it's not a problem for me.We ordered the 10 inch. Image is too distorted. Even at the exact distance the center is clear but the perimeter is useless. The 7 inch is about right and still plenty magnified.Fully extended, it works but it’s only reasonably sturdy. Just be careful and don’t let any kids get a hold of it.I do a lot of wiring in my bathroom remodels. But this is not that easy to install. Firstly you need to re-drill to fit the standard round 4 inch electric box. Not that difficult. Secondly the average person won’t know that the blue wire is the neutral. But it is in the instructions. Thirdly there’s a strange plug that you need to remove and connect directly with wire nuts. You can either take out the screws with a number one Phillips drillbit or you can cut the wire. Since I had to return one of these it’s a good thing that I removed the plug with the screws so I could reassemble it. Oh actually, the first 7 inch that I received had a broken wire and I shipped it back without the plug and they sent me a good one anyway.All in all a pretty decent mirror if you’re careful.Overall the item is great. We’ll built. The only issue I have with it is the LED lighting on the unit is dim enough to virtually serve no functional purpose.The magnification is good on this mirror (can actually see the hairs to tweeze or cut). But, the light is not real bright. My bathroom lights give me more light than this, so I'm glad we have it near those lights. Installs fairly easily, if you know how to install a light fixture. Helps to have someone hold it while you screw it in, cuz it's kind of heavy. The movement of the "arm" is rather hard at first, so I'm gonna try a bit of WD40 on the joints. I don't really move it that much, but I don't want to risk pulling it out of the wall when I do. LOL!Looks nice and contracts easily against the wall, but I would have liked it better if the arm connecting to the wall plate also moved but its stationary. Hardwire install took a bit longer than expected, but that was due to stud location. I was used to a 5x so the 10x seemed odd for a few days. Overall happy with the product.My first, second, third, and fourth choices for a wall mount magnifying mirror were all out of stock. So instead of being patient I went ahead and ordered this one. In a nutshell, it's pretty on the outside but cheap and cheesy on the inside. Here's a quick summary of my regrets:- turns out that it's not UL listed. Has a very cheesy electrical connection device (a sort of plastic/metal harness) which I couldn't bring myself to use (I used wire nuts instead). The center hole on the mounting plate (through which you feed your electrical wiring) is so small that I was worried that over time it might rub against the sheath on my electrical conductors and damage them. So I wrapped electrical tape around the conductors to protect them.- as the description indicates, there are 3 different lighting levels. But you have to physically turn off the light with the power switch, and then turn it back on again to change lighting levels. Arrgh. Really?- pay attention to the orientation of the mounting plate as it has to be mounted to the wall in a specific orientation. I didn't discover this until I was ready to mount the mirror, and the included instructions were no help (no English). I ended up drilling an additional hole in the mounting plate so I could mount it to the new electrical box I installed in the wall. If it weren't for drilling this hole I would probably have returned the mirror.- I'm not thrilled with the maximum light this mirror produces. The product description states there are 25 LEDs and I incorrectly assumed it would be plenty bright. My bad ... I should have been looking for a lumens rating. It's OK, just not what I expected.Overall I feel I paid too much for this mirror. In my opinion it should be priced closer to $60 instead of $96.Hope this helps someone.Good mirror but white plastic on/off switch looks odd in middle of brushed nickel finish.Substantial, spa like hard wired make up mirror. This was a must have for my recently remodeled bathroom. 10x magnification is perfect for eye makeup application. Two light settings are on the toggle switch. I use the warm white rather than the cool blue light. It’s been installed for a month. Love that it came in polished chrome to match bathroom fixtures. I can’t speak to the longevity of the mirror, but I highly recommend it. No complaints from the electrician who installed it, either.We hired an electrician to install 2 of these lighted mirrors in our bathrooms. He told us the product is not CSA approved. He could not install them due to potential fire hazard. Amazon should not be promoting items that are not approved for use in Canada. I have to return them to Amazon.This was a great product when I first received it however the light stopped working within 6 months, and I can not get a response from the seller regarding a replacement light or a refund. The product is useless to me without the light!!! Terrible.Der Schminkspiegel mit Beleuchtung ist auf den ersten Blick sehr schön und auch die Vergrößerung 10fach sehr gut. Leider hält das Produkt in Sachen Verarbeitungsqualität und Handling nicht das, was es verspricht:1) Das Drehen des Spiegels geht unheimlich schwer, man braucht dazu immer zwei Hände2) Das Bewegen der "Arme" ist sehr unkompfortabel, da sehr schwergängig3) Das Produkt v.a. das Spiegelteil ist so schwer, dass es schon jetzt (nach ca. 4 Wochen) leicht nach unten hängt.4) Die Wandabdeckung ist aus dünnem Blech und verbiegt sofort sich beim Anbringen an die Wand.Alles in allem eine große Enttäuschung :-((((((Artikel entsprach nicht der Abbildung. Elekro-Anschluss bei Wandmontage problematisch.In Wandrosette keine Vorrichtung für Kabelauslass.Kann nur auf eine vorhandene Wandauslassdose montiert werden.
